Steps for cleaning the scanner glass and white backing on HP Enterprise and LaserJet Pro Multifunction Printers:
Press the Power button to power off the printer, and then disconnect the power cable from the printer.
Open the scanner lid.
Clean the scanner glass, the document feeder strips, and the white plastic backing with a soft cloth or sponge that has been moistened with nonabrasive glass cleaner.
Dry the glass and white plastic parts with a chamois or a cellulose sponge to prevent spotting.
Connect the power cable to the printer, and then press the Power button to power on the printer.
