Fixing a Carriage Jam on the HP DeskJet 3700 Printer Series | HP DeskJet | HP

Steps for fixing a carriage jam on the HP DeskJet 3700 series printer:
Remove any paper or objects from the input tray area.
Remove any paper or objects from the output tray area.
Press Cancel.
Load paper into the input tray and adjust the guide.
Try to print your document.
Open the ink cartridge access door.
Go to the rear.
Disconnect the power cord and any other cables.
Return to the front.
Remove any paper or objects from the ink cartridge access area.
Push the carriage to the right.
Remove all paper and objects from the carriage path.
Push the carriage all the way to the left, then the right.
Close the ink cartridge access door.
Reconnect the power cord and other cables.
Press the Power button.
Load paper into the input tray and adjust the guide.
Try to print your document again.
Open the ink cartridge access door.
Press down on the tri-color cartridge to release it, and remove it.
Press down on the black cartridge to release it, and remove it.
Reinstall the tri-color ink cartridge into the left slot.
Reinstall the black ink cartridge into the right slot.
Close the ink cartridge access door.
Try to print your document again.
Make sure the printer is powered on.
Turn to the rear.
With the printer still powered on, disconnect the power cord.
Unplug the power cord from any power strips or surge suppressors.
Wait at least ten seconds.
Plug the power cord directly into a wall outlet.
Reconnect the other end of the power cord to the rear of the printer.
If you have completed all the steps and are still experiencing issues, the printer might need to be serviced.
